Domestic and family violence can affect people of all genders, sexualities and relationships. Many LGBTQ+ people experience forms of abuse that mirror those seen in heterosexual and cisgender relationships, while also navigating additional barriers and risks shaped by stigma, discrimination and social exclusion.
This workshop builds on DV-alert Foundations training and supports frontline workers to strengthen their understanding of LGBTQ+ communities, lived experiences, and the broader social factors that can influence domestic and family violence, help-seeking and engagement with services.
